What is hidden in your documents?

Office files and PDFs often carry details you cannot see: your name, your company, the computer they were made on, when they were created and edited, how long you spent editing, the names of people who left comments, and camera details or GPS location inside pictures.

What the cleaner does

• PDF: rebuilds the document page by page, leaving behind the title, author, creator app, dates, keywords and XMP metadata. Bookmarks and form fields are not kept.
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX): clears author, last editor, company, manager, title, dates, total editing time and custom properties, replaces names on comments and tracked changes with "Author", and removes camera and GPS details from pictures inside.
• Your original file is not changed. You download a cleaned copy.

Is it private?
