File Transfer Terms of Service
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms apply to the file transfer service on Juvega ("the Service"), run by Juvega FZE-LLC ("we", "us"). By sending or receiving a file you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. They add to our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. What the Service is
The Service lets holders of a free Juvega account send files directly from their browser to another person's browser through a private link. Files are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. Our server only helps the two browsers find each other. The details it passes between them are encrypted with a key that is part of the link and is never sent to us, so we cannot read them. The file itself is encrypted the whole way.
2. Who may use it
- You need a Juvega account to send. Accounts do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or ID. Receiving needs no account.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- You must not use the Service if the law where you live forbids it.
3. What you must not send
You must not use the Service to send, or link to, anything that:
- Sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form. We report this to the authorities when we become aware of it.
- Is illegal where you, the recipient or we are located, or helps someone commit a crime.
- Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights, including pirated films, music, software, games or books.
- Contains malware, viruses, ransomware, exploits or other harmful code, or is meant to break into or damage any system.
- Contains personal information about someone else shared without their permission (doxxing), stolen data, leaked passwords or financial data.
- Threatens, harasses or incites violence against anyone, or promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
- Is intimate imagery of someone shared without their consent.
- Is spam, phishing or part of a scam or fraud.
You are fully responsible for the files you send and for who you share the links with.
4. How direct sending works, and what the other person can see
- The sender's page must stay open until the download finishes. Closing it ends the link.
- Because the two browsers connect directly, each person's device can see the other's IP address, as with a phone call over the internet. If that matters to you, use a trusted VPN. Some networks (such as strict office or mobile networks) block direct connections, and Tor Browser does not support them.
- One new link per account and per connection per hour, files up to the size shown on the page, and links never last longer than the time shown. We may change these limits, or pause the Service, at any time.
5. Reporting a link
Every download page has a Report link. If you believe a link is being used to share something that breaks these terms, report it with the link to the download page (you do not need to send us the key). We can close the link and ban the account that created it.
6. What we keep
Because files never pass through our server and the connection details are encrypted, we cannot see files, their names or their contents. While a link is open we keep only: its size, when it was created and when it ends, how many times it was downloaded, and the anonymous account that created it. We do not keep IP addresses with transfers. This record is deleted as soon as the link closes. If we receive a valid legal order, we can only provide this limited information, for links that are still open.
7. Bans and removal
If an account breaks these terms, we may close its links and stop it from sending files (and from commenting) without notice. Serious cases, especially anything involving children, are reported to the authorities.
8. No guarantee
The Service is free and provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available or that a connection between two browsers will always work. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by using the Service, by files you receive through it, or by a link reaching someone you did not intend.
9. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of a file you sent, you agree to cover the costs and losses this causes us, to the extent the law allows.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Using the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
