How to send a self-destructing private note
Send a password or private message as a link that works once and then deletes itself. No account needed.
Sometimes you need to send a password, an address or a private message, but you do not want it sitting in someone's chat history forever. Juvega Private Notes turns your message into a link that can be opened once and then deletes itself. You do not need an account.
Step 1: Write the note
- Open Private Notes.
- Type or paste your message.
- Choose when it should be deleted, and leave Delete after it is read ticked.
- Optional: add a password. The reader will need it to open the note.
Step 2: Create the link
- Press Create secret link.
- Press Copy link and send it to the other person.
- If you added a password, send the password another way (for example by phone).
Step 3: The other person opens it
- They open the link and press Open the note.
- They read it. If you chose Delete after it is read, the note is now gone for good. If someone else opens the link later, they will only see that the note no longer exists.
Why it is private
- Your message is locked (encrypted) on your device before it is sent to us. The key is part of the link, after the #, and browsers never send that part to a website. We cannot read your notes.
- We do not keep your IP address with notes.
- Link previews in chat apps cannot "use up" a note, because nothing opens until someone presses the button.
Tip: if the other person says the note was already gone when they opened it, someone else may have seen your link. Change any password you sent in it.
