What is removed?
Shared links often carry hidden tracking codes that tell companies who shared the link, where, and sometimes who you are. The sanitizer removes them and keeps the link working:
- Tracking tags such as
utm_source,fbclid,gclid,msclkid,igshid, YouTube and Spotifysi, Mailchimp and HubSpot codes, and many more. - Redirect wrappers from Google, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Outlook Safe Links and DuckDuckGo: you get the real address instead.
- Long shopping links: Amazon links are shortened to the product only. You choose whether to keep affiliate tags.
How to use it
Paste one link, or a whole message full of links. Every link is cleaned, and you can copy the clean links or the whole message with clean links.
Is it private?
Yes. Links are cleaned in your browser and never sent anywhere, and it works offline. Shortened links (like bit.ly) hide their real address: use the Link Expander for those.
