How to use it

Photos
Photos are resized and saved as JPG or WebP. Saving them again also removes hidden details, such as the GPS location, the phone model and the date the photo was taken. See how to remove location data from photos.
Videos
Videos are played and recorded again at a smaller size in your browser, so it takes about as long as the video itself. Keep this page open until it finishes. The new video is saved as MP4 where your browser supports it, otherwise as WebM, which plays in most modern browsers and apps.
Is it private?
Yes. Everything happens on your own device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, and the tool works with no internet connection, including in the Juvega app and the Juvega Offline Toolkit.
